I'm a Canadian writer–director and editor whose debut feature Masterpiece went from a 95-page script in 2023 to a fully financed, 40+ person shoot in 2024, and premiered at KCFF in early 2025 before winning Best First Film at the Montreal Independent Film Festival. I'm currently writing my second feature, Demons, a grounded horror film about the return of someone long presumed dead.

I specialize in character-driven features—comedies and dramas with a strong literary backbone. I studied intellectual history at Queen's University, where I developed a love for Tolstoy and Chekhov, and I'm drawn to films that feel like great novels: Fanny and Alexander, The Ice Storm, Hannah and Her Sisters.

My approach is both creative and technical. I came up lighting and shooting my own work and now collaborate closely with cinematographers, drawing on a solid base in lensing and lighting. In post, I'm fluent in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid for picture; Pro Tools for sound editing; and Houdini, Blender, and After Effects for VFX. I'm comfortable carrying a project from script to final master, or slotting in as a director, editor, or animator at any stage of the process.
